Transport
There is no formal public transport system in the area and most people have their own vehicles. There is a railroad near by but it does not offer a passenger service.
The taxi service in South Africa is unlike any country in the world. It is run on unofficial lines by private companies and only operates a service early in the morning. Taxis are notorious for bad driving and for having unroadworthy vehicles, so we are most reluctant to make use of this form of transport. Ambulances are not always available and they must come from the neighbouring town as and when the need arises.
